About MarijuanaHistory.org
There is a war at stake, and it’s not the one going on in the Middle East either; it’s the war on your ability to make your own personal decisions, even when they don’t harm others. The superlative example of this war, is the component commonly referred to as the War on Drugs. Most people would readily agree that crack cocaine, meth amphetamine, and even prescription pain killers are all huge scourges on our society, but what’s the deal with demonizing someone just because they choose to use a little marijuana?
I mean, have you seen the death toll caused by people using cannabis? The answer to that is, undoubtedly, no, because it’s invariably nonexistent. That is to say; marijuana simply does not kill. And as more and more credible research continues to flow in, we are starting to form an increasing clear picture that, in responsible adult usage, it really doesn’t even harm people very much either. Now contrast that zero death toll, with the death toll caused by the federal and state policies regarding marijuana’s criminalization, and well, perhaps that ever growing figure will open your eyes to why, exactly, this issue is of immediate and significant importance to everyone in this nation.
In a concerted effort to help alleviate this contradiction, we are proud to present to you our efforts in disseminating a more honest and productive discourse about this important and highly relevant discussion.
